At Hompil, we give you the sawdust for FREE!

Our production produces large amounts of mineral sawdust. We do not sell it but we give it away for free to farmers, gardeners, homeowners, animal shelters, breeders and to all who come load it and take it with them.

The composition of the wooden sawdust at Hompil is diverse. The main components are aspen, spruce, pine, minority - oak, alder and birch. Since we do not sort the sawdust and do not use a long-term storage, its use is limited. Sawdust cannot be used in the manufacturing of chipboards, smoked foods as part of the packaging or in the insulation of buildings.

The scope of the wooden sawdust at Hompil is used for livestock-breeding and gardening

Mixed sawdust is used for:

• Bedding for cattle: after its used (and if desired) it is stacked in the compost heap for fertilizing the land
• Powder for garden paths: sawdust slows down and even stops (if the layer is thick enough) weeds from growing, and with a regular changing looks attractive
• Raw materials for fertilizing: sawdust rots with time, especially in combination with manure or fresh grass, but it is an excellent product for increasing the yield of the garden. However, it is not recommended to use fresh sawdust to improve the air permeability or soil fertility, because it is capable of strongly acidifying the soil, and decaying wood bacteria takes nitrogen from the plants

What do I need to do to pickup sawdust from Hompil?

All you need to do is call us or send us an email telling us when you are coming and at what time you are arriving.

The conditions for obtaining FREE sawdust from us are very simple; you call us and let us know when and at what time you are coming. Once you get to Hompil you load the sawdust and take it away, it’s that simple.
